Publish timed out after 60 seconds

ERROR: Publish timed out after 60 seconds.

Keep getting this error in console followed by a server halt/freeze/crash. It's happened just about every day when the server is full for a little while.

I looked around and some other people have been getting this same problem. Just wondering if any of you have been getting this as well? And if anyone has any ideas or clues as to why this happens and how it could be fixed.

Currently running a TF2 Linux server.

This is a replay error, but I can't say for sure why you're getting it.

Are you using local or FTP for replays?

FTP, haven't really had any problems with it till recently. But thanks for letting me know, I'll take a deeper look into it now.

Happened to me too, had to delete some old replays (one week old) and then it worked fine. No idea of why this happens though, my web server doesn't have any disk/bandwidth limits.

Does this help in any way? Didn't test it yet, gonna do it soon

This could actually be it since we just web hosts recently, thanks I'll try it out.

Sorry for bumping this thread, but has anyone found a proper solution to this issue? I've been running replay since it was released, but lately I've been getting this error a lot.
I tried changing the hostname to an IP, with no luck.

I'll take any advice I can get.

Old but same problem here. Even if it is a ftp issue cant replay disable itself instead of crashing the server?

Any fix for this? I think that Valve can easy fix this but they don't have time for this

I have just begun having this issue -- currently all I can do is turn off replay but I'd love to have it re-enabled. Anyone have any thoughts? My fast download is not located at the same location as my servers so I am using the FTP method.....does using the HTTP method resolve this?

Yes, but only because HTTP has to be running on the same machine as the game server.
