Hi!
This New version of amxx might be better then the previously, but I found it much easier to install a working plugin with the old one.

Just take the "amx match deluxe" for an example. It worked perfectly with the old version and with the new one it doesnīt run without making a lot of changes.

But before you can make the changes you have to read plenty of pages under the approved plugins, just to figure out that there is no 100 procent working copy.

This is my suggestion...
Under the index page start up a plugins page or use the one already existing, and have all the approved plugins for amxx 1.55 in there. Make sure they run first. This way I belive you will keep more of the users in here.

The way it is now is far to complicated...

Thank you for my time
"one who went back to the previous version"

totally agree with you

it's realy hard because searching takes a lot of time. there are to many changes to be done. there should really be a new approved forum for 1.55. you could rename the old one that everybody knows what plugins were approved once

Or perhaps a new field added for the approved plugins that lets the plugin author indicate the latest version their plugin was tested successfully on. Making said field searchable would be helpful.

Great idea Brad Jones, seeing as Bailopain is a pretty good PHP coder from what I've seen you should suggest it to him!
Maybe a field (like 0.20 to 1.56) would be better though.

Go ahead and do it yourself, though I think it needs to be directed to SniperBeamer. I haven't had good luck PMing Sniper so I'm in no hurry to try again.

What sort of changes?

Plugins should generally be backwards compatible.

Plugins that rely on new or updated functions won't be backwards compatible. Also, plugins that are pretty old might end up using functions that have been phased out (not that I know that any have been phased out).

If the old one should work with the new version. Why is it so that I canīt get "amx_match deluxe" to work without having to change things in the script?

I tried to run it in the compiler but it failed...
