If i want my server to be available 24/7, should i use VPS or game servers?

or can i use both? i would like the cheapest solution :p

Pretty sure just hiring a gameserver is a lot cheaper and unless you're quite experienced a lot smarter. If you're just starting out, you're best off hiring one until you get the hang of it. If you know enough to host your own, then why not host from your home? You can get a super cheap computer and set up a dedicated server on it and just keep it running, or if you can keep yours on all the time that'll work, too (though you may lag while playing yourself).
