Hey guys,

I think the title explains it. It would contain fixes for every known exploits and it would automatically update itself so server owners dont have to worry about updating every single plugin everytime or download a new extension when a new exploit comes to public. Let me know if you think its a good idea and if you are willing to contribute in any way.

Kigen's Anti-Cheat is your best bet to get most exploits out.

i mean we should merge these:

srcds dos protect
querycache
serversecure files stuff

and code an autoupdater in it, so server owners dont have to update them manually, and when a new exploit fix comes out we can merge that too, kac/smac cant replace these as its only a plugin

but then it'd be no fun doing all the extra work...lol. Some things are only possible with extentions and some only plugins so add two and two. You would have to have a package system to do that and autoupdate some people do NOT like as of others.

I'd be interested but my opinion that "if it's possible with iptables then it doesn't belong in an addon" hasn't changed.

Also, I'm not really sure what could be done against the biggest threat server owners face: DDoS attack from those with idle hands, jealous animosity, or knee-jerk rage.
