Hi guys...

If this is something that has been identified.. then i'm sorry for reposting, but I can't seem to find info on it anywhere.

with amxx 1.5 I had everything working fine on a
amd3000 64
win xp pro
sata HD
1.5gb ram

but today I upgraded it to
win2003
and an adaptec 2120s scsi controller card with a seagate cheatah scsi drive.

now as soon as i launch my hlds (dod), it loads all the cvars, goes to a map change, and then shuts down.. if i disable amxx theres no problems..

The logs also don't say anything, both server and amx logs...

thanks for your help, and if I've just missed the fix, just point me in the right direction.. thanks!

Nathan

ok, well this may help those of you who did might be having the same issues.
Its with a thing in windows 2003 called
data execution prevention
you can get to it by right clicking my computer, properties, advanced tab, under the performance section.. click settings, then select the data execution prevention...

it seems to be like a spyware prevention type thing that works sort of like the windows firewall.. I haven't found a way to completely disable it, but you have to choose the programs that need to be exempted.. just like you do with windows firewall.

anyway, hope this help someone in the future, and if need be you guys might move this post to somewhere where it will be more appropriate.
