Add the parameter -console -port 27015 +map (whatever), and I think there might be some more stuff but -console makes it work better.

DMZ = DeMilitarized Zone.

Basically what it does is make the computer on it act as though it were directly connected to the web, and completely exposed as well. It is useful for something like this where you need to find knowns and stop working with unknowns.

You create a shortcut for HLDS, and then go to properties. After the target line, which should have hlds.exe at the end, you put a space, and then what he told you to put. Then you load HLDS with that shortcut.

Then I clicked on the program and it started all this stuff in dos windows then it finished I started up my server and got this.........

I went to www.ipchicken.com got my IP, went to www.gametiger.com linked to "Search IP" and put in my external IP + :27016 and no servers came up.............

Ok I looked all through the linksys manual I really don't see anything and I don't think I need it, do I if I know how to port forward?

You don't add :27015 for gametiger. Just type the IP.

For me it's:

69.194.153.145

If you type 69.194.153.145:27015 in gametiger it won't work.
