Well there must be servers out there having this issue since we have 3 servers and the 2 normal stock map server crash at random map changes and or just random times

The arena server is not affected and is linux where as our 2 main servers which are busy most of the day are Windows! & crash at mapchange or just random times as above any ideas ? we are using the latest SM 1.3 snapshot and MM 1.8 snapshot. with various plugins.

I have attached a crash dump from 15 mins ago just as the server was filling could someone please take a look just to see if its a plugin or engine related issue! I have disabled a few of our plugins at a time but it does not help still crashes

I confirm, on my servers also have this problem. Crashes random and occur during change map.

We have had the same issue since one of the two updates linked below from last week. Our TF2 server crashes on map changes when full at least once a day and sometimes more frequently. Prior to those updates, it rarely crashed if ever on exactly the same configuration. I am using the latest snapshot of Source Mod 1.4 and the latest metamod source (1.8.3), but the problem persists so the latest metamod is not the solution. I am now starting to eliminate other metamod plugins (DEFENS, dosprotect) and will start to eliminate Source Mod plugins after that. I have crash dumps, but I have never been able to figure out how to interpret them.

Those plugins were not the problem. Based on other posts in this forum, I am now trying to go without mapchooser and rtv plugins to see if it stops the crashes as all of the crashes seem to be happening on map changes.

There has just been a TF2 Update which appears to address this crash at map change issue.

Yeah, hopefully this fixes it, had about 5 or so since the update.

Is that a server fix or client fix? It reads as though it applies to the client, and when I tried to update the server, nothing was updated.

It is a Server Update aswell as Client.

It took me a few attempts to get it to update too.

Steam Servers are very busy so run the Server update a few times and you will eventually get it.

If you still have problems, run a -verify_all

Well lets hope this fixes it, I did think it was valve! but also had doubts on it being MM/Sm. Time will tell at least they fixed the warping speed exploit
