I didn't mean "replace" as in overwriting their files, but only to have them download a custom sound and use that instead of the default, like with custom player models.

I don't think that's possible.. the code that tells the client to play that sound is on the client which we can't touch.

The only way is for the client to replace that sound file with an empty file.

I'll have to look into it and get back to you. The example with replacing weapons I just pulled from my head from an amxx plugin/extension that I remembered.

I think valve have to make a solution here. Maybe a server cvar that will disable such sounds.

My server is working fine using mm1.8.2 (723) , SM 1.3.4 (2996) .

However today i got those errors :

It's a trivial bug. Probably caused by clients who join and disconnect quickly. Made a bug ticket: bug 192

That might actually be fixed in zr-dev. Just got to do IsClientInGame check in OnClientCookiesCached.
