Is steam now tracking thier new web browser I think so.
I used it and checked what was connected this was done after I opened the IG browser and all was fine.
then I entered a shearch in google and checked and now yes steam did connect to the google ip but hl.exe conneced to the IGA ip four times when I did. I bet we all gave steam permition to do this and we dont even know.

Well, it is their software. We can choose not to use it. I never use their browser so it won't bother me. Tabbing out is much much easier.

I wonder if we can finally completely exploit the Steam Browser to auto-invite into steam groups.

(You open the link to invite someone into a group on that client's steam browser, and execute the command when they enter your server.)

That would be nasty, but im pretty sure it would count as some kind of slowhacking or something.

I don't like you now just for thinking about it.

It may be possible. I'm sure someone has succeeded into doing it.

I wasn't the first to think about it....

Its already been done using sockets. But I don't know how to use sockets. This new browser might help people like me.

hackziner has made plugin for it and used it on his own server iirc. There should be topic about it. I've been on one swedish server that invited me to its community but i don't know if it was somehow automated.
