In C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\save there is a file called game_instructor_counts.txt with values that determin if a player learned a lesson allready or not. When values are at max, tips for it aren't shown and vice versa. Is there any way I can manipulate those values for clients on the server?

I want to show notifications on:
- where pipebombs, molotovs and bilejars are
- who startled the witch
- who can urgently use pills or adrenaline
- ... (possibly other)

Through sockets extension maybe. But i bet you can't read it.

No, it's tracked by the client.
You could attempt to recreate the tips yourself though.

doesnt matter if the client has the instructor turned off.

no, my point was that for people like me who have the instructor off... the counts dont matter. i will never see the message no matter how badly you want me to.

if you want it for yourself, try resetting all the values to 0 and then make the file read only - you wont need a plugin then.
