My 2 DoD:S servers crashed frequently after updating to SM 1.3 and MM:S 1.8

Same here our servers INS, CS:S, L4D 1/2, NTS (windows) crashing frequently with MM 1.8 + SM 1.3 even without 3rd plugins, back to MM 1.8 + SM 1.2.4 and the crashs are gone.

No errors in the server and SM logs. :/

DontWannaName - Yep, updating everything correctly.

BAILOPAN - Yes, when I update a plugin.

Its done it twice now.

Once I used a modified SM 1.3 mapchooser to play sounds when a map vote comes up and the other was just shortly before I posted when I updated a weapon restriction plugin.

Nothing else was done that could have cause the crash.

Only thing different was that I updated a plugin.

Here is the mdmp from yesterdays crash.

I dont know how to read them so I hope this helps.

We started a new TF2 server with SM 1.3 and MM 1.8.
34 active plugins, and 5 meta ones, all working flawlessly.

GREAT WORK EVERYONE!!!

Ditto! They were perfectly stable on 1.2.4 and had not crashed in weeks if not months. When I upgraded, they can't stay up for a map change with anyone connected. On the other hand, our TF2 server is doing fine with the same 1.3+1.8 files. I'll have to check our custom plugins when I have some time, but for now, it's back to 1.2.4+1.7.

There is absolutely nothing we can do with "Me too!" posts in news threads. You need to file a bug report and attach crash data.

Xp3r7: What exactly does "updating" mean? What exactly are you doing?

yes mine also. no errors in the logs. went back to 1.2.4 sm and have 1.8 mms and all is fine.

Im overwriting the .smx with a new one.

Like the Weapon Restrict went from 2.2.0 to 2.2.1.

So I just overwrote the .smx file like Ive always done and the server crashed on map change.

In the past when Ive done this, it loads up the new version of the plugin on map change so I didnt think much of it till I noticed it crashed on map change a couple times after I updated a plugin.

I think it depends on what the plugin is hooking/what it is doing. This happens to me when ever I update KAC, but only on a few of my servers... and only if there are people playing at the time.
