Day of Infamy - Help with MM
 

hey guys, first off, really sorry to ask this as I'm sure these type of questions pop up all the time, however I've tried a lot of steps and for whatever reason the bitch doesn't want to work.

If anyone has gotten metamod working with the Day of Infamy Standalone DS could you reply how?

I am trying to install sourcemod and metamod. I do get the menu when I enter sm_admin, but when I select change a map. Nothing happens... I can do meta list.. and it does list two. I thought it may be the vdf file. What vdf file do I use if there is not one for Day of Infamy.. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.. thank you in advance.

The command backing that, sm_map, is broken on Insurgency/DOI due to a bug in their copy of the engine. There's a thread somewhere in the SRCDS or SM > General section with details but I don't have a link handy.

Hi there, on 2/22/16, Psychonic, your post read: Today's update indeed has the fix.

Do I need to re-install Sourcemod and metamod from the get go? I did the update for Day of Infamy.. and I tried the sm admin... again the menu is displayed, but cannot do a map change. Also, when I enter meta list, I get two plugins... is there only two that need to be displayed? Thank you in advance..

That thread was related to Insurgency, not DoI. They share the same engine code, but they are on different update schedules.

Hi Guys, Also, is there a zip file and can load so I can get this SM menu instead of the boring one that I installed. I like this one a lot better. I got this for Insurgency... hopefully, someone can post one like this for Day of Infamy..

you get into Admin Menu/Server Commands a new option "Change Level"

Seems the Dunkirk update broke metamod and will not allow servers to start up. Hopefully a Dev could shed some light on this? Thanks

As Holmes has said the latest DOI update has broken either Metamod or sourcemod after update servers could not start with with meta/source installed once removed it would start I know I'm new here but would be very grateful if anyone could advise how to get it all working again. This is now fixed in the Dev branch of each, but it may still be another few minutes before they're available to download.

MM:S 1.11.0.1097
SM 1.9.0.6121

The fix will automatically go to the stable branch next time to happen to make any other change there, but I'm not forcing it since this change breaks MM:S/SM on Insurgency until the next time it has an update.

Psychonic please accept my heartfelt thanks for acting so promptly in getting this fixed for us I have posted a similar message over at steam but I just wanted to take the time to do it in person. We have a busy custom server and without the sourcemod it would be very difficult to administer as we found on Friday when we had to play with limited rcon commands. So once again thank you for your time and efforts I will be recommending a donation to the upkeep of your site.
