i just wanted to install wmp 11 & had to download any generators of microsoft to install the wmp

I guess you have Avira antivir free personal edtion , and that version doesn't include an antispyware
you have to installe a standalone antispyware like Spyware Terminator or upgrade to Free Avira AntiVir V9

The described malware is probably related to your toolbars , you can use Malwarebyte under safe mode (and after disabling the system restore) to get ride of it , then do a full scan with your antiSpyware.

As far as i know Zone Alarm is a firewall

here is a good free & lighter security solution :

Avira combined with SuperAntiSpyware
or
Avira combined with SpywareTerminator (enable real time shield during the first configuration)

maybe the Genuine Advantage or the required active x is detected as trojan by your antivirus (according to avira the risk is low)

btw : i tried wmp 11 but i prefered wmp 10

Send it for analys to kaspersky,eset,panda and etc....or just scan in in virustotal or etc the file....
dno think is real..
