hi,

is it possible for a future update, to include how many people are required before you can actually use rtv?
example, mani had it like it need it 4 people to type rtv to have the menu appear.
at the moment, anybody could type it in and have the menu and even if they are only 2 people on the server, change the map every time.

So you want a minimum player's limit?

yes, i think that would be great.
honestly otherwise people just rockthevote and changing map constenly.
but a minimum of 3 or 4 would nice.. plus, if its possible let the plugin check if number of x players triggered 'rtv' and have then the menu coming up.

i am not sure if i am alone with this. hope not aehem

Yeah a limit on the minimum number of players required to trigger a vote would be essential IMO.

MANI does it as a percentage of the number of players on the server

ie if 66% of players type rtv then start a vote.

If you want to mimic the full functionality provided by MANI perhaps you can implement a nominate system too?

Players type "nominate" and a menu appears which allows them to choose the map they'd like to see appear in the RTV vote.
The map nomination also implies that the player typed RTV so that their nomination counts as one vote towards the total number required to start the vote.

Or a player could type: "nominate de_dust2" and that would bypass the need to open the menu.

Extreme One: I already have that. Actually it's a cvar, you can set to whatever you want.

Their problem is people doing it when there's like 3 people on. Two of them say it, and that's enough. They want it to require at least 4 (or more) people CONNECTED before it's allowed.

Also.. uh. Did you even read what this plugin does? It had nominate when I first released it.

well, yes you do have the percentage. but i would suggest to have another cvar, i you will, what fix it that 4 player have to be online regardless.
that way not every aehem... dumbo is able to trigger a map change.
also the menu should only appear, if there are enough people online.

otherwise it does, what is written, which is good.

oh, ferret, may i ask if the cvar will be written to a file? or they are only temporear in the system?
if i restart my server, every cvar i gave to a plugin is back to the original state.

Place your cvar's in a config file. cfg/server.cfg, cfg/sourcemod/sourcemod.cfg, or any other cfg that gets executed.

I do apologise. I was a little tired (drunk?) when I was reading and responding to this thread.

Looks like you got everything covered
