if his code has been removed then whats the big hold up on putting it up for downloads. I don't see why he was so butt hurt to start with considering his version has long been dead and obsolete just like his website.

Reason that no one is allowed to put up downloads for smac while this is going on is due to the license SourceMod is under(aka, the free software that you MUST DISTRIBUTE SOURCE with binaries license known as GPL) which is preventing anyone from uploading any binaries as the source has to be uploaded as well and the DMCA is targetted towards distributing source.

That and it's apparently true that some revisions that still contained some of Kigen's code did have their copyright headers removed, meaning that there's evidence in his favor (meaning that contesting the DMCA notice wouldn't be such a good idea).
