Oh wow I'm so glad to hear this, I've had the string table overflow crap happening since Pyromania and this update made it 10 times worse. Disabling SDKHooks and SaySounds helped quite a bit but it still happens at the 1-3x daily rate it was prior to MvM.

What specific overflows are you folks getting? Here's a few of mine:

Host_Error: Overflow error writing string table baseline "ServerMapCycle", "GameRulesCreation", "Scenes", and "MvMMapCycle"

yep - all of those.

The good news is that Valve is aware of them (finally) and working on a fix. Hopefully, we'll see it sometime this afternoon.

1.5.0-hg3579.tar.gz doesn't work.
but 1.5.0-hg3610.tar.gz it works.

Ok I've read this thread and I'm trying to understand if I need to make any Sourcemod updates. My servers crash when users try to bring up any Sourcemod menus. Will I need to make a fix for this? I believe we're running the latest stable release. Or will the Valve update fix this as well?

I'm not trying to belabor the point, but I'm trying to understand if the Valve update will be all encompassing or if I also need to make some updates to Sourcemod in addition to the Valve update.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone already pointed that out?

Or 1.5.0-hg3610 or later if you want the 1.5 branch.

Clearly you haven't even read the first post.

With all due respect, I had read the first post. The original post is at 8:06, right after the MvM went live and I was trying to understand if anyone had figured out if the problems are just related to sourcemod, or if its only game-engine related. I'd prefer to stay on a stable release if anyone has determined that it is only game-engine content that needs to be fixed.

But thanks for taking the time to make a snarky comment, it added value.

You must update to the latest snapshot build if you want Sourcemod to work, no exceptions.

We already knew what needed changing and made the appropriate changes before the update went live.
Hence why the versions needed were known directly after the update (as soon as they finished compiling).

You. Need. A. Snapshot. Build. Of. SourceMod. That. Is. The. Same. Or. Newer. Than. The. Builds. Named. In. The. First. Post.
