If you don't precache a file and the game tries to use it, your server may crash.

This was a problem with the old TF2 Halloween plugin if it was late loaded on cp_manor_event... the game wouldn't precache the Horseless Headless Horsemann models and the server would crash as soon as he spawned.

Valve "fixed" this a few months ago, which sadly broke the newer Force Holidays' late loading capabilities.

If I add a .bz2 file to my ftp client, what should I write in the config...
For example:
sounds/example.mp3
or
sounds/example.mp3.bz2?

when i go to check out my downloads, the files extract, however i see the bz2 file still there, shouldnt that sorta, auto delete itself?

sound/example.mp3

The client will look for the .bz2 file first automatically and download/uncompress it.

Also, note the lack of s in sound, assuming you're using the standard sound directory on the game server.

Ah yeah ignore the s. Ty. But is there an answer to why the .bz2 is still there?

Now that, I don't know. The game is supposed to remove the .bz2 file once it finishes decompressing.

I recommend you to use the "sound" section. However, this probably would not fix your problem.

You can also try the debug version.
Sidenote: Use the downloads.ini, if you try the debug version.

My plugin only adds a file to the download table, not more, not less.
In most cases it is a configuration problem in sourcemod and/or server.

Best regards
