It is not required, only used if it already exists on server.

It just helps the smac_version cvar not get lost from display.

In the absolute latest version of SMAC (compiled from source in the repository), the version CVar is now getting added to the auto. generated config.

Moving the version cvar handling to OnConfigsExecuted prevents it from being written to the config, but I don't know if it still works that way or not.

Edit: Yes, that works. (r190)

@r188: Anyone who compiles SMAC with steamtools.inc will end up requiring the extension to be there when running the plugin.

r190 should resolve that.

Might I suggest adding some color to the detection messages? My admins have complained that the [SMAC] messages are often easily missed since they're the default chat color. I just tell them to pay attention more but a little color might really help. Just a thought , love the work you guys are doing so far!

If using something like the Colors include, the coloring could just be done in the translation file. Regardless of what the default would be, it would be trivial for any server admin to edit without having to dig into the plugin source (or even have any knowledge of how colors work).

This would be great! Really hope you guys include it or add some defines so we can set colors in the translation file.
