You CSS people must be the Royal Family

Valve still haven't fixed this or anything else since 2006. We got dumped onto Orangebox and thats 'IT'. They even forgot to include us in the next game update news (I think they noticed that one).

I don't want to sound like too much of a whiner, I just think that since they give the game away free to promote themselves they would at least put the time into making it work properly. Also, as it used to be firmly in the top 10 multi-player games on steam it does seem like a considerable waste.

That is why they are trying hard to get it off the top 10 list so people will play more expensive games instead.

If you are using Mani, you should always check their website and forum info.

The Mani guys released an updated plugin (V1.2d) the other day after the update that caused the suicide crash. Then Yesterdays Valve update that fixed the Suicide Crashing also broke the updated Mani Plugin again. They are currently working on a fix and have advised people to roll back to version 1.2.c for now.

Yes, believe me, I was checking it (I run multiple servers). I did roll back to V.1.2Vc and everything seems to be working fine.

I would like to look at getting off of Mani completely because it seems it has major problems with every update. I've noticed SM is more stable. I use it for several things, and it has less problems than mani and the programmer side of me really likes the modular plugin architecture.

Last night I spend some time documenting all of the things we use Mani for and am trying to find suitable SM replacements.

If there a similar SM plugin, so do people normally use a collection of them. The challenge I'm having is that there are many SM plugins and I want to pick the most stable/best performing ones.

Yeah Mani V1.2c with the latest gametypes.txt has been working fine for me too. No crashes whatsoever.

Sourcemod is defo the best around by far. The development team are awesome and always fast and there are tons of great plugins and authors too.

Some of these Valve updates break a lot of plugins though to be fair. Metamod, Sourcemod, Eventscripts and Mani regularly need updates after Valve updates. The Sourcemod guys are the fastest and most reliable but Mani and Eventscripts have good development too and they never take long to get updated.

On my CSS RPG and CSS Gungame Servers, i use Metamod, Sourcemod, Mani and Eventscripts alongside eachother and they work together just fine and smooth as silk.

However on my TF2 Servers, i stick to just Sourcemod because it can be tough to get stability with the others running on TF2.
