2. Generate a new VDF from www.metamodsource.net

Just wanted to add that when you update, it makes the /orangebox dir so be sure to change to that dir as well!

That's strange , my old files are still in the cstrike folder and metamod+sourcemod are still launching from the old dir.

Could somebody be kind enougn to add the complete path including orangebox in a post please. I updated my server via steam update in my control panel at my server host, I just aren't sure what the correct path to type is. At present it is.
