well in light of all the profiling results of engine being slightly faster then fm in most cases, I decided to spend some of my free time changing some of my plugins over from using fakemeta to using engine instead

only problem is now ive been getting quite the increase in crashes (was usually once every few days or so.. to several times a day)

and i wouldnt consider myself a noob when it comes to writing plugins so its not like i didnt really know what i was doing (ive used fm and engine for years, just more often then not i mainly used fm) so im not really sure if its just caused by me screwing something up or what.. Ive gone back thru the plugins i changed, line by line, and cant find anything that looks wrong at all

been getting this (in some cases every 15minutes or so):
Quote:
./hlds_run: line 342: 31964 Segmentation fault $HL_CMD
which from what i gathered, there isnt really much to go on for narrowing the cause of that down...

but this is a new one i dont recall ever seeing up till now:
Quote:
FATAL ERROR (shutting down): Cache_TryAlloc: 3981024 is greater then free hunk
this one seems to happen after the server has been on the same map for a couple hours without changing... dont recall it ever happening before tho, even if the same map was played for 6+ hrs

any ideas? anything that i should be 'careful' about doing thru engine? not sure if maybe i should put the fm versions of these plugins back on and see if it goes back to normal
