just downloaded fresh server with hldsupdatetool and checked all files =\

I'm having a similar problem ...

After the recent updates of STEAM my server started to have the following problems.

. /hlds_run: line 321: 7373 Segmentation fault $ HL_CMD

And now this ...

pipes.cpp (562): Assertion Failed: 0 == m_cAPIPipePending

yes me too. i got my machine today, ran hldsupdatetool. and there goes the mistake

I fixed that problem.

How?

my friend dont get this problem he updated his server 100 times and that error doesnt coming, so i said to him to send me his files! he just send me it and i paste it in my folder and all works

...I also get that error, but it doesnt prevent me from doing anything... im not going to worry about it since everything still works fine..

There's what You do, You instal Update tool to a directory, then, in the same directory create a server.bat file, and enter these lines to it!

start HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game cstrike -dir . -verify_all

Then Your server should work.
