There is a hard-coded 1536 character limit for the MOTD message in Counter-Strike. Although usually the MOTD message is sent several times, in chunks, the maximum length for the MOTD string is 1536 characters. But, as Connor showed, if you use HTML to redirect to another page, you can show more than that.

ye but, i'm formatting html code in plugin, because it reads info from .dat files

Someone said at the AMXX FuncWiki that he managed to use 2500 characters in a MOTD.

He was using Sven Co-op. The character limit is defined on a mod-by-mod basis.

It's a constant define in the client dll. I think it's also defined in the server dll, but even if you could change it in the server dll it wouldn't matter unless you could also change the client.
