I'd like to see a plugin that allows someone to take up the role of the AI director, in order to spawn enemies and weapons and such.

For example, you go into observer mode and float around, and you get a menu like:
Spawn Infected (Under Crosshair)
Spawn Infected (AI decides location)
Spawn Mob
Spawn Weapon (Under Crosshair)
Spawn Weapon (AI decides location)
Unlock Safe Room Door (To give time to set up environment)

etc..

This would require you to become an unseen floating observer... which would also be a good mod in itself. I'd like to have an option to have another X amount of users be able to join the game and just float around and watch, maybe wait for a slot to become available... or maybe reserve them for admins.

Just a question what if the guy is a fag or is afk?

Edit: I see a possibility of this to be done but I'll need more details. I've been messing with l4d cvars and it's possible.

There's already a mod that does this, it's called Zombie Master. Albeit, this would be cooler.

With l4d options a lot better. Even tough I don't think I can prevent the actual director to do stuffs. But maybe with SDKCalls I might be able.

Personally I'd only ever let admins do it.

It'd be really cool if it could automatically detect that you're idle (L4D has this capability for survivors) and then turn the AI director back on.. hm.

I'm thinking on make a command for admins to pick Zombie Master and add a cvar to make it auto pick someone or do a vote or only admin command.
My idea is send player to spectator team and show him a menu. It'll simulate sv_cheats to player only when he's using a command and then turn it off. That way he won't use any other hax.

I think it would be sweet to have control while letting the actual director do its thing too...would make it more exciting and I noticed that in L4D there are times when I expect a mob to come outta no where and the director never does it...hence the game kinda throws me off then...so this would make it much better...

Meh, I already had the idea.

I was planning on making it pretty complexly. So that you'd get a good person directing and still have elements of the AI director. (More specifically with weapons and wondering common zombies.) I planned it out pretty heavily. I was waiting to see if I could get a patch to increase the max players.

But I guess I'll go ahead and make the plugin.
