Is this even possible?

I'm doing a project at school, and I'm going around doing tons of languages...

My head hurts...

I went from VB6 to pawn to Java, to J#, to Dev C++
(Ow)

and I want to know if it's possible to use mySQL with Dev C++

If so, help would be appreciated....

Dev-C++ isn't a programming language - it's an IDE.

Since you're obviously referring to C++, yes it is possible with the appropriate API - unless of course you intended to write your own.

Can I use mySQL and C++ together, using Dev C++ as the IDE.

I read something to make me think that it wasn't possible to use Dev C++. (Only Visual Studio and another application)
Thank you for pointing out a typo and being of no use to anyone though, Lee.

Why vB doesn't poll for new posts when you edit an existing one is beyond me. I have a bad habit of using 'Submit' as 'Preview' and then heavily editing them.

You're yet to understand what an IDE actually is. Why would your choice of IDE affect a language's capability?

OMG TYPO!!! Erm hi....

Yes it is possible to use MySQL and C++ together... I'm assuming you are gonna go ahead and use an API.

A note: I think what you may have heard was the visual studios has data source objects that could allow you to use different sources of sql fairly easily, but thats another topic that I don't fully understand, its not just click and drag a datasource there is a butt load of bindings and you gotta do checks for errors in data coming in on so many layers. Microsoft seriously eff'd that one up.

It's pretty clear to me why he thought that it wasn't possible; there's no mysql_query() function present in the standard library.

Jheshka, I do hope you're not one of those people who at every possible opportunity direct Allied Modders' users to search Google. That would be hypocritical.
