Sorry, my mistake. There's no need for homophobia and racism though. Obviously I wasn't the only one to misinterpret what you wanted. *shrug*

Ya I called him a limey faggot in karma cuz first he misunderstands me like 3 times and gets short with me then gives me negative karma when he was the idiot. Anyway.

I've been told by a few people that this is impossible, which I had suspected since I'd essentially be attempting to run a hlds command on a server that isn't a regular hlds and can't have amxx on it.

The only other way I can think of is to make the person connect to a website which is actually a link to go to the server and then make them exit HL or crash HL to desktop so by the time the second game goes to load, they'll have exited their original game, so that they don't get the two games running at once error. If anyone has any ideas for this let me know.

I didn't really read your first post (admittedly my fault) and posted a better method than Alka. Zenith obviously did the same. I did not give you any sort of karma - until just now. I most certainly would not have been so certain of myself if the people around me had not reinforced what I was saying. I made a mistake and I've apologised. Get over it.

I'm also not seeing what extra functionality sockets provides over using RCON as I said.

Sockets allows you to connect to ips like connecting to websites or email and the like. It would also allow for inter-server communication stuff like sql stuff as well I think. That's my understanding and as much as I know.

I understand that, but once you've made that connection, what exactly can you do that's not possible with RCON?

Sockets doesn't do anything but provide a means of communication. Similarly, all RCON does is forward your commands from source to destination. Do you see what I'm saying?

According to the documentation I'm reading, HTLV has a command called clientcmd. This can be used to execute a command on all spectators, proxies or both.

Code:
server_cmd("rcon clientcmd 1 ^"connect 127.0.0.1^""); //redirect all spectators
So.. if you weren't hoping to single out specific clients, I was right all along. If only you'd bothered to look at the command list.

I came across that in the hltv readme but it's for all instead of specific clients, which makes it unusable unless I can think of a way to pick out players.
