What? Why must you say things that you know nothing about?

What is "the memory leak?" There was only one memory leak, and it was FIXED in .2. The real memory leaks come from metamod plugins, and since you use AMX, those memory leaks are probably coming from metamod revealing the problems with AMX 0.9.x's module system (which is why we made the new one, memory issues).

Don't blame things on metamod, 99.999% of the time it's the plugins, especially with behemoths like AMX Mod/ AMX Mod X.

?

Who started talking about amx ?

Like i mentioned before - even with no metamod installed i got those strange peaks.

Does really no one else have this problem with his Linux-Server ?

Sorry but hlds was leaking memory big time with metamod 1.17.2. When i went back to 1.17.1 it slowed up.

The linux hlds leaks without any plugins/modules as it is but the rate of leak increased with .2 over .1

Heja

Well . .. . . this is what i did and its seems to eliminate my problem:

I downloaded this patched metamod http://koti.mbnet.fi/axh/files/metam...2p10-linux.zip and now everything runs smoothly.

CPU at ~30% - and i am happy again.

Perhaps this helps someone else . . ..

Glad your happy with the outcome
i wouldnt be with a 30% cpu usage that is high as it can get
the % your talking about should be when server is maxed out...
i never been above 10% with full server's' notice the s
but of course it could be anything, cpu specs, server setups...
glad your happy with it
Regards

Hmmmm...

What are your serverspecs - and the linux distribution + kernel would be nice to know ?!

I'm happy with the 30%, cause i dont run anything else on that server - but you're right. . .. its still very high for a cs server.
