Update v1.5.0: ( AmxModX 1.71 or better ONLY )

fixed:
- sounds beiing not in a subfolder ( eg: sound/mysound.wav ) will now be played
- reconnecting to reset quota will not work anymore
- no more overlapping sounds ( Join and Exit sounds will still overlap other but others cannot overlap them )
- amx_sound_reset now accepts IDs too
- sound quota could be increased even if no sound was played

added:
- sound duration is now calculated

changed:
- SND_DELAY does not affect admins anymore
- SND_SPLIT has been replaced with more customizable SND_MODE
- removed support to disable MP3




@hamvui
must be something with your server
maybe try to remove all soundfiles except the default and test then

nice update, thanx.

one question: how time consuming is the calculation of the time duration? any risk for lags? is it done everytime a sound is played or will the calc be cached? or is it (best solution) one time calculated on map start for all the sounds?

*                     choose option below add add then together ( eg: 2 + 8 = 10, means only dead can play and hear sounds ) 
*                     1 = dead can play sounds 
*                     2 = alive can play sounds 
*                     4 = dead can hear sounds 
*                     8 = alive can hear sounds 
*                     16 = alive and dead are isolated
not really clear what you mean^^

and would be cool when you add in the first post that amxx 1.71 or greater is needed

what is unclear ? "dead can play sounds" ?

just a quick question (i hope)..... I love this plugin and it works fine for me. my problem is that when my server goes to certain big maps like de_rats_theatre_v2 my server crashes with the error that says

"FATAL ERROR (shutting down): Host_Error: PF_precache_sound_I: Sound 'bullchicken/bc_spithit1.wav' failed to precache because the item count is over the 512 limit. Reduce the number of brush models and/or regular models in the map to correct this."

so i want to try and reduce what i have that is precaching. i have a lot of .wavs in my sound list. i like the sounds i have so i don't want to get rid of them. is there a way to "turn off" the precahing of the sounds?? if so, if i turn it off, the sounds will still play for the people that actually have the sounds on their computers??

you sure it is sank sounds and not another plugin ?

Ya i can read the ADMIN_LEVEL_A in the sma and in this forum nevertheless in practice only i can use it. All my admins have level A but the plugin only works 4 me rcon level

I have tried diferent combinations and mp3's dont work at all and no wav bigger then 170 Kb works i was hoping you could tell me more....
