I have 3 computers:
1) Pentium 4 2.2 Ghz 768 MB (DDR) ram, Nvidia GEForce4 MX 4000
- only supports PCI graphics cards
2) Celeron 2.6 Ghz 512 MB (DDR) ram, Intel onboard video
- only supports PCI graphics cards
3) Athlon MMX 1.0 Ghz 256 MB (SDR) ram, nvidia geforce fx 5700
- supports PCI and 1 AGP slot.
- SDR ram is expensive...
- 3 SDR ram slots
My dilemma:
I want to play my newest game Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth TWO. I need:
Processor: 1.6 Ghz MINIMUM
RAM: 256 minimum, 512 highly recommended
VIDEO: * ATI Radeon 8500, 9100, 9200, 9250, 9500, 9550, 9600, 9700, 9800, X300, X600, X700, X800, and X850.
* NVIDIA GeForce 6200, 6600, 6800, FX 5200, FX 5500, FX 5600, FX 5700, FX 5800, FX 5900, FX 5950, PCX 5900, Ti 4200, Ti 4600, and Ti 4800, GeForce 3
* Intel 900 and 950
All of those graphics cards are supported. So, essentially, my computers suck but I either need to upgrade or buy a new computer - what do you guys recommend?
For example, I could go buy a new graphics card for my Pentium 4 that is PCI and then I could play the game on that. Or, I could get a new processor and ram for my amd athlon. Or, I could get a new motherboard, processor, and ram for my amd athlon.
Maybe you have some good ideas for me, preferrably cost-efficient.
