Instead of MOTD I have a completely transparent window without HTML page or opening the links I insert (1 screen from attach). Only plain text without HTML formatting is displayed (2 screen).

MOTD with HTML, picture or website does not show up on my servers, no matter what I do. I tried everything: http/https links, layout page manually using HTML + CSS, insert pictures, remove all addons on the client and clean vanilla server without a single plugin.

I searched the whole internet, found few tickets by Dragokas on Valve bugtracker with this problem and several threads here on the forum with the same problem. Is there any solution to this problem?

I ask because, from time to time I come across servers in which MOTD works properly and it does not give me peace (an example on 3 screen). What am I doing wrong? I tried doing MOTD on all types of servers: local, dedicated, hosted, clean vanilla, with SourceMod + MetaMod, on Linux, on Windows, but all without success.

the html renderer engine is old
so make sure you are using valid http links, since some websites redirects it to https site nowadays
also is best to use plain html without css

I've tried inserting HTTP links and a simple HTML page into MOTD, but that doesn't work either.

I just can't understand how MOTD works with pictures and even a banner (!) on other servers like in the screens.
How do they do it?

Without being able to see your HTML, your motd.txt file, is harder to help.
