SZ_GetSpace

This error happens when you're running Half-Life with an oversized configuration file (like autoexec.cfg). This happens because the configuration file size is too big. There are two ways to deal with this problem:

1. Reduce the configuration file size as much as you can.

2. You can try to avoid this by adding the parameter -zone #### after hl.exe. Where #### is how many bytes to allocate. For example: hl.exe -zone 1024

Sometimes even this doesn't do the trick. Files of over about 8Kb seem to cause problems and generate a "Cbuf_AddText: Overflow" error in the console. The mapdefault.cfg can easily exceed this if lots of complex comm sets are defined in it. I got round this problem by splitting out some of the comm sets to a separate file and exec'ing it at the very end of mapdefault.cfg. Note that exec'ing it from the middle of mapdefault.cfg also caused an error – HalfLife crashed with an "SZ Getspace:Overflow without overflow allowed" error.

Using the parameter -zone ####, where #### is some number of bytes to allocate some memory, should fix this problem. If you still receive the error message, increment the number of bytes to allocate more memory. Example: hl.exe -zone 1024
I have found this on a few sites, I was wondering if it seems logical and if so, does that mean if the shconfig is over 8kb will it cause these errors

its possible,
if you config file is huge try breasking it up and make a shconfig2.cfg

then in the shconfig.cfg at the bottom do

exec addons/amx/shconfig2.cfg

use the correct path for your mod....

this is saying that if you have a cfg file that is over 8kb, it could give you these spammin errors in server, I don't really see that it works as a fix, but it is worth a try, you can either eliminate some of the useless words in a cfg or make it split into 2 seperate cfg files with an exec command at the bottom of the first
