This is on Ubuntu 14.04 after updating today.

I added -debug but can't find a debug.log anywhere.

lib32stdc++6 is needed, install it with:

apt-get install lib32stdc++6

Something in the recent update is requiring this lib. Probably to do with the recent things within MISC today >> http://blog.counter-strike.net/index...egory/updates/

They stopped shipping an outdated version with the server, Fletcher Dunn from Valve has been posting about the change happening on the csgo_servers mailing list for the last few months asking people to help test...

Any idea how to solve this issue if you are running a server on Windows? Getting a server out of date message.

Yes I saw the posts. I was just wanting a more ELI5 response. I tried asking in Fletcher's original email for what a normal server operator would have to do and received no response, so I was mostly unprepared.

For anyone having issues with Windows servers: app_update 740 validate did the trick. Normal app_update 740 wasn't working.
