Heyo!

So I'm making a Jailbreak server. I use custom maps for it obviously and I want to use custom materials and stuff for a store. I tried setting up a fastdl on my webhosting like I did about a year ago when I was renting a CS:GO Dedicated Server for a month to test it out and see how it works.

It just ain't working! There's not really a clear tutorial on FastDL's out there I think. So I'd like you guys' help. Right now I have:

sv_allowdownload "1"
sv_allowupload "1"
sv_downloadurl "http://vidiangaming.net/fastdl/jailbreak/"

I do of course have HTTPS set up on the webhosting as I run the forums on the webhosting too. Does a HTTPS link work in the "sv_downloadurl"? Also my hosting provider uses DirectAdmin for webhosting. I also have a VPS from OVH that I can use if webhosting doesn't work, but I dunno how to set that up.

Anyways, I'm clueless. Help is highly appreciated.

Alright, so do i use chmod? If so do you know what value? Sorry for my lack of experience but I just don't want any breaches or anything.

I would recommend 755 on the folders, 644 on the files inside the folders.

What is error that shows in console when a client tries to download the files?

Pretty simple mistake you made... You don't do /jailbreak as your ending.
sv_downloadurl "http://vidiangaming.net/fastdl/jailbreak/csgo"
It has to resemble the game you're playing, not the fun.
You also don't need an ending slash.

Still wont help the fact there is permissions blocking access.

That doesn't matter, he simply has permissions restricting directory listing.
All that matters is that the files and folder structures are correct and that direct link access is allowed.

To clarify:
All folers were already on permission 755.
All files were already on permission 644.

IT'S FIXED!
Believe it or not, I have tried doing the same before but somehow it worked this time. Solution:

- Changed FastDL path to "https://vidiangaming.net/fastdl/jailbreak/csgo/maps, materials, etc."
- Set cvar sv_downloadurl to "https://vidiangaming.net/fastdl/jailbreak/csgo"


I'm 100% sure I have tried this before but I guess there was something else blocking it at that time. Idk. It's fixed now though, so yay!
