i know this isnt about zombie but its basicly something i use what FTP permission will make sure valve update doenst erase bspconvar_whitelist.txt i have this files added to Convar.


sm_cvar 1
sm_precache_particles 1

to make sure Map console chat and particle system works on zombie escape maps

but does 644 permission make sure when valve update the server it wont delete it

just dunno what permission i must do to fix this (kinda annoying it reset.)

my suggestion to him was a bruteforce fix: chattr +i bspconvar_whitelist.txt as root. Nobody, not even root, will ever be able to touch that file
