Hi there all,

I saw guys are helping the developers to more internationalize their plugins,
well, this job is a bit hard (at least for me )

Now I have an idea, Create a Web application for translations,
Users can translate and developer can get their translations in a file,
or simply connect plugin introduction page to an API in webapp.

What do you think? Is there something like it?
I was thinking I may create something like this (well i have its required skills )

Hard? What's hard about open a .txt file and copy/paste someone's translation?

Not hard, but strings need to review and then export them completely in one file.

Exactly. but more than this, other users can review or edit others strings.

There's a site called Transifex, using same idea (but for WP projects) and I never saw anyone abuse this.

It's not about the simplicity of a single performance of one task.
Do this 20 times with people who sometimes cannot format their translations properly (doesn't matter how easy you make it for them, if they can edit the whole kv I'm sure some can screw it up) and you have an issue.
Another interesting observation: If English isn't your primary language, go check out pretty much any translation file. German phrases for SM seem decent these days, I don't know about other languages, but I recommend you to take a look at the plugins published here. There's a huge spectrum of quality for translations, so a rating system would come in handy as well. And the abuse potential, if the translation files/plugins in question aren't public.

Well, English isn't my primary language, neither German, France or any language currently supported by AMX Mod X (My primary language is Persian, now I'm planning to translate the whole AMX Mod X and few of plugins to Persian but English letters [Which we call it Finglish])

So, The idea can be nice and useful. I started working on it.
