Because we all know the VSH Hakurei Shine map (and its Winter counterpart) is incomplete without having Reimu in it! Also, it's my first boss, and i am working on a few others...

Reimu Hakurei (v1.05)


As the sole maiden of the Hakurei Shrine, she is commonly "called upon" to investigate strange occurrences throughout Gensokyo.
For a while, she was observing the battles the TF2 mercenaries had against Saxton Hale while they were visiting her shrine, and was not impressed by the lack of donations in the donations box. One day, the mercenaries decided to take over the shrine after defeating Saxton Hale, and Reimu decided that she has had enough and decided to test their strength by having them face her instead (she carries mementos from a defeated soldier)..

REQUIRES shadow93_abilities & shadow93_bosses for abilities to work!

v1.05 - Includes 1 x, 3 x and 4 x configs instead of being separate downloads.

Note the last two tracks aren't really her official themes, but i couldn't resist not adding them as the former is a modernized version of the latter, as the latter song was the theme of levels 1-4, Jigoku levels 16-19 in Highly Responsive To Prayers, and you guessed it, Reimu was the only playable character at the time. So the last two are basically bonus themes.


Boss Demonstration Video

While she sports plenty of HP to face an army of Soldiers or Heavies, her attack is slightly weak. However, she can deliver a powerful rage, which can make her unpredictable, as it teleports her instantly to a random player with a short ubercharge, while clones spawn at her previous or current location, making her lethal. While she lacks super jumping abilities, she has a fast-loading teleportation ability for quick escapes to compensate. In addition, a health pack drops upon a kill she makes.

Those using the version with 4 lives (or the optional 3 life version), when she fails an attempt, she will activate her Fantasy Nature spellcard, a powerful, yet deadly move as her ability to float renders her intangible while this spellcard is active (3 second matrix attack + invisiblity)

v1.05 Changes:
  • Now uses all 3 vaccinator resistances for Uber. instant tele rage integrated into reimu's resistance rage.
  • life configs now in a single download. Also added stripped versions for those not needing fastDL

The model is compatible with all current taunts, the screenshot depicts her performing the "Fresh Brewed Victory" taunt.

She doesn't really die on defeat, just uses Fantasy Nature to escape.

And yes, this version is nothing like the one the Touhou Hale server has, as this version focuses more on her teleportation abilities.

Try setting 'decapitate_type' to 0 and 'honorbound' to 0 in the attributes. And 'restore_health_on_kill' to 0.

Tf_weapon_katana always decaps on katana duels.
Youd have to do some sdkhooks stuff to block it (if it happens that early)

block katana on players

Maybe change the damage in OnTakeDamage, because it does work for blocking lethality of backstabs.

And katana duels actually make you crit for around backstab damage or something.

I added a version with 4 lives, which does have a deadly death effect, for those who want to add a bit more challenge to it. Requires powerlord's abilities which is included with that download.

Knife causes damagecustom set to tf_cusom_backstab, which causes the damage, so changing that may help

As for changing the tramcoloring.. That's odd.
Usually you can just used forcedskin anyways, rather than forcing them to download a backwardassed model.

Tried those attributes, didn't really work.

Looks like you may be right about having to modify OnTakeDamage, so that the maximum damage it can do isn't lethal. Here's a screenshot of the highest amount of damage from a duel kill with the half-zatoichi version of the boss (disciplinary action version is the one available for download):

I might end up splitting the half-zatoichi ordeal into its own thread, as this would apply to anyone who plans on making a boss that wields the half-zatoichi.

A future update will have her wielding that gohei she carries around a lot (similar to how ass pancakes wields his custom warhammer in-game).
