Freak Fortress 2 1.08 is causing problems for my server, whenever a map of FF2 is completed, and people vote for another, non-FF2(VSH) map, and it switches... Certain behaviors of FF2 Remain.

For example, if we go from FF2 to a CTF Map, people will be forced to stay on one team, being unable to switch, among a crap-ton of other issues, such as being told there aren't enough players for FF2 constantly, etc.

Did this ever happen before? It might be worth adding sm plugins unload freakfortress.smx to your <mapname>.cfg file and seeing if that helps at all. It's only a temporary fix I guess.

Yeah, it has happened before (last time I installed FF2 a year ago on a different server), and hasn't been fixed since, even in the new versions it seems. This is a problem for someone like me who runs a server that isn't 24/7 Freak Fortress 2, and thus I had to remove it.

Using sm plugins unload freak_fortress_2.smx in every map cfg is impractical, since I have over 100 maps.

Put it in your plugins/disabled directory, or it will autoload every map.

Still doesn't fix the problem. If I manually load FF2 on VSH maps that way, it'll load fine, but then it'll persist and stay loaded on non-VSH maps when it switches.

Having to manually load and unload it via trickery with map configs and unloading via server.cfg is a poor workaround for something that should just work. Might as well completely get rid of Freak Fortress 2's Maps.cfg file if this is what you have to do to get it to only work on maps of your choosing. Kind of defeats the purpose of it if you ask me.

Running shittons of plugins in a disabled mode with all their hooks active is just extra overhead for the server, which is just dumb.

Do what ravensbro said, use umc.

UMC is an ungodly mess, I use MCE. In the meantime I'll just use the map-configs extension so I can run configs based on prefix.
