I believe it would be something like this:

if it isn't "AMXX_VERSION_STR" isn't it, you can find it in amxconst.inc

You can't use amxconst.inc for this because from what I understood, the original poster wants to decide on runtime.

obbin: What is incompatible? Why do you need to have the version?
