Do you know what the slowhacks did to steam users?
One time i played in one server, admin was a kid and didnt liked me, used one command and slowhacked all my keys and ruined my cz (needed to reinstall it), and some teams have noob coders that when learn use client_cmd, go hack client keys for pub them servers. Do you think that is something that users agree? And about redirect, some people force people auto redirects. Do you think that is also cool? Ofc not. Iam not 100% agree with Alfred, but i know he just did this for help users. (In steam exists more users then servers owners )

Anyway, everytime you change client commands you slowhacking.
But there is 2 types of slowhack, one is allowed, other isnt. The allowed one is when you ask client if accept you slowhack him commands.
And making kick if dont accept, you are forcing him to get slowhacked. You can try find excuses for can slowhack, but it still being slowhack of type that isnt allowed in this forum.

If I get ready I will upload the code with your way to set the settings (If declined you won't run fast and so on...)

Why do you need to play with pev maxspeed?
Just check Flag IN_FORWARD
then velocity_by_aim
and set_pev velocity.
This way the player speed limit is unknown.
Also for moving back do same way but check IN_BACK flag
then output velocity_by_aim multiply by -1.0
for IN_MOVERIGHT, IN_MOVELEFT get player angle and angle[1] +-= 90
set angles, velocity_by_aim and then set old angles back.
Thats how i did my in water movement and also will do fly movement, on ice movement and many ohter movement types.
Edit: for duck there is flag IN_DUCK and to catch walking just check maxspeed.
If it is less than running speed and no IN_DUCK then it will be walking... : D

There are 3 types of slowhacking

Type 1: Client Unaware Slowhacking
This type is where you slowhack the client without informing them or giving them the option to say "No".

Type 2: Client "Approved" Forced Slowhacking
This type means that the server is basically forcing the client to accept the slowhack in order to continue playing. It presents a menu asking the client for permission and if the client says "No", then the client is kicked from the server.

Type 3: Client Approved Slowhacking
This type is similar to Type 2, except the server doesn't kick or interfere with the client if they say "No" to the slowhacking.

Only Type 3 is allowed on this site. It does not matter what your beliefs are, that is just the rule.

Also, I remember reading something that said that cl_* cvars are either already blocked or will be blocked in a future update unless cl_filterstuffcmd is set to 0
