[L4D2]Cannot join my own Dedicated Server

I thought I founded the solution, but actually i didn't lol.
I recently created a L4D2 server using HLDSUpdateTool. Everything went fine. I tried to create a lobby to join my server, but everytime i try, it loads for like 15 seconds and then it says: "no best available dedicated servers found". You're certainly thinking "oh, he just forgot to forward his ports...", but no. I forwarded all the ports that needed to be forwarded. (27015 UDP-TCP, etc...)
So if anyone could help me it would be great.

EDIT: Apparently, I can only join my server by typing "connect IPHERE : PORTHERE" in the console, so i can't really change map or anything lol

. I would like to be able to launch my server from a lobby.

Help?

In your server config, place the following:

Code:

sv_search_key "YOURKEY"

Replace YOURKEY with whatever you wish but keep it short. Copy and paste that command and use it in console in-game then start a lobby with whatever gamemode you want. After that, if you click 'Best available dedicated', you should be able to just hit start and connect to your server from the lobby.

If it's giving you an error such as no connections available then your server probably doesn't have the proper ports open or is running a different version.

Unfortunately, i just tried this and it still cannot join my server. I still get the "no best available server were found..." message. Any other ideas ?

search keys have been broken for along time and according to valve they intend to leave it that way but I posted a better solution in the other thread you replied in.

What? I use it all the time when connecting to my server to play.
