[New Idea] Secure your plugins?

Just had this idea, and im not sure how beneficial it is, but uhh here i go. Well so i notice when it comes to the plugin community in sourcemod. People have high demands for their plugins and will charge a lot. Now if you are one of those dick server owners out there, the owner probably just sells off the plugin to someone else, and then he sells it to someone else. And so on, and so on... It gets to a point where the private plugin you made for money is now public. So here is the idea i have.
Every programmer makes a plugin, but this time the plugin actually checks the ip address of a server and compares it with a pre-defined address to tell the plugin to start or stop. So basically a coder can simply enter a predefined IP into his plugin, when his plugin is then given to the user in exchange for money, the user will now only be able to use the plugin on his own servers. If he gives it to someone else, they can't use it because the plugin pre-defined a specified IP address and the IP address is different from the one that the server is currently running on.
Once again this is just an idea to see what people think of it. I am not a good coder so i am not sure how well this could be implemented as it is just an idea. Anyway thanks for reading!
