it checks all the players all the time for the conditions in it... no?
in my first plugin i used 3 loops like this .. and the FPS was terrible..

yes... but alot of entities prethink, and there about 200 entities per map...

ahh so u say it doesnt effect the server?
so i guess my loops were just stupid.. i did
set_task(0.1.....) for loop (i didnt know about the prethink ^^;)

no see looping would actually cause more memory usage.. ( i dont know by how much )

To my knowledge, set_task adds the task to a list. Every server_frame or so AMXx loops through all of the tasks and compares the time they were set, the duration of them, and what time it is now, to determine whether or not to call the function.

I forgot my point. I think it was that tasks are not smooth like butterflies dipped in chocolate.
