Hey all,

Currently running some minigame maps on my server which require all players to be on one team but it seems CSGO doesnt like to have more than half the total players on one team. Eg 24 slot server, only 12 can be on T.

Ive set mp_limitteams to 0 and also to 24 to see if thats the issue but only 12 T's can spawn. The map has well over 12 spawn points so its not that either.

Any way to fix this? When that map comes on (a popular one) half of the players cant join and just end up leaving.

Same problem... and CSGO doesnt like to have more than 2 spectators.

I have seen a custom plugin running on a kz server that allows for more than two spectators. As for the team size limit, I'm very interested to hear about a way to bypass that - haven't read much about it yet.

Any links to the spectator mod? Might give insight on how they are bypassing that limit (could apply the same logic to teams)

Visual77, this should work, but you should check if they're alive before ForcePlayerSuicide.

Similarly, with CT or T, you could force teams shortly after joining. Another solution is increasing your maxplayers to double the size of sv_visiblemaxplayers, so 64/32, respectively. This would allow 32 people to join T or CT with mp_limitteams 0.

Doesn't work. I tried with sv_visiblemaxplayers 50 on my 24 slots server.
only 12 T or CT can play.

...and of course :

I think he meant that you need to increase your -maxplayers first by using this vsp plugin.

It dosn't work by just setting sv_visiblemaxplayers to a higher value. You need to increase maxplayers aswell.

TheKiwI, you'd need to do the opposite, sv_visiblemaxplayers 24 with maxplayers 50. The VSP plugin from psychonic isn't necessary because you'll never have over 32 players join in this scenario.

Understood. However, this is not a real fix because i don't want to buy a 50 ( or 48 ) slots server for only 24 players...
