ok...
i have got a new problem... these original sounds are being copyed and started when i start the server...

These:
Half-Life01.mp3
Half-Life02.mp3
Half-Life03.mp3
and so on...

and i cant take em out of the gcf file, right? at least not with GCFScape.
so wich file is executing these original half-life sounds?
or is there another program so i can delete the sound files?

1) What do you mean being copied ?

2) You can extract files with GCFScape !

1) I tryed to delete the files in the valve\media folder. But when i started the server it was a new Half-Life1.mp3 file in there ( i dont get why its copyed/extracted and not directly used from the gcf file like all the other stuff ( weapon sounds, models etc ) )

2) Yea i know. I meant i wanna delete them

3) ... Actually i dont know what im tlking bout myself... its 6:15 in the morning here... can barely keep my eyes open...

is there any other program to open and change gcf files wid?

You cant edit the GCF or any other clients GCF unless you hack into it.

And the reason why it was being " copied " is because it was being precached.

Its basically what half life does to get files ready for the client to use. Thats why you download some stuff when a server has file that is in its precached list you dont have.
