What exactly is a "tag mismatch"? Is it not when you are using the wrong type of variable? For example

Code:
 new d = 3.4
would be a tag mismatch would it not? Well it has to be more then that, becuase I cannot get this mine code to work, and I have a lot of tag mismatch errors. For example:

Code:
new mineid, b
new dist = get_user_aiming(id,mineid,b)
client_print (0, print_chat, "[DEBUG]Player is aiming at mine id# %d", mineid)
I have a tag mismatch error on the last line. How in god's name is that a tag mismatch? Maybe because it is returned by reference? I've been reading about that for C++, but not quite sure if that would cause the problem. If somebody could help clear up this topic for me, I would really appreciate it; and hopefully it will help me in getting my code to work.
