Your server is somehow caching the old version. When it checks for updates, it just redownloads the cache (0.7.5.8).

Which extension are you using along with Updater?

p.s. i am that guy with the symbolic links to each file, perhaps it doesn't like that for some reason?

It's most likely something related to your specific setup. I have caching disabled in Updater/Sockets and on my webserver.

Well after they updated to the old version they are no longer symbolic links. But i would assume the next round they would download the latest. I'll upload the smx files (the latest) manually without a symbolic link and try again.

Also if you haven't already, restart srcds between these tests. Let me know if you end up solving it.

Restarted the server (_restart) had the plugins in there as normal files.

L 01/25/2012 - 19:48:18: Update available for "SMAC Rcon Locker" (smac_rcon.smx). Current: 0.7.5.8 - Latest: 0.7.6.4
L 01/25/2012 - 19:48:22: Successfully updated and installed "SMAC Rcon Locker".

[SM] Listing 63 plugins:
58 "SMAC Rcon Locker" (0.7.5. by GoD-Tony, Kigen

sm plugins unload 58
sm plugins refresh
sm plugins list

62 "SMAC Rcon Locker" (0.7.6.4) by GoD-Tony, Kigen

I then did a changelevel, and all versions are now 0.7.6.4
I installed those recently, i assume it first removed the links, then it needed to redownload again or something. Anyway, restarting a few times would be the sollution ;)
