So they were copying the data you put in for bans and other data for installation (like servers and admins) and put it in their own database.
You found out the info and spammed your own data into their database.

Is that right? Because I couldn't really understand and the picture doesn't work anymore.

No, what they kept stats on was the total number of Bans, Admins, and Servers for each install. It also recorded the Webserver URL (domain url) and the install path for each install.

To be honest, it was a "feature" to track down the beta-installations, which just hasn't been removed outta the release-version for some reason. We realized it with 6.0.1 and already removed it in 6.0.2 ;)

My apologies.

Edit:
For clarification: No personal data has been collected.
The Webservers IP, amout of Bans, Servers and Admins was being saved so we could work better with the Beta-Testers we had.
Those information was published by the beta-testers in the beta-area anyway.

The Amount of bans (and also access to their servers, lol...) was stored in another thread.

Not completely right, i've explained that above.

Kinda. As he didn't know what we were doing server-side, he was just trying to do that. In fact, he has "updated" the servers from his ip-range with changing the ip to "xpaw".

Then what's the point in logging that info without their permission?

So there is currently no version that has it removed?

We got their permission. Else we wouldn't have implemented it.

It was nothing "serious". Not passworded Database, not encrypted, a few punshed numbers written in our db.
If we would've intended to use it on release, we would have encrypted it for sure.

The Code-Piece? No. But we aren't collecting data:

Doesn't look like you have permission from the 6.0.1 (which is still downloadable, and I don't see 6.0.2 anywhere) users. But even if you had permission of the the beta participants, why would you ask them to post the same information all over again?

Isn't that up to the users to decide?

As i've said: We forgot to remove it ;)
602 is nearly ready, there is just some work missing on the plugin.

They posted their information a few times, after we've recognized that it's silly work for each user to update his post over and over again. So we added this code-piece in beta6 after we've asked our testers.

Edit:
I just noticed there already was some work on it, I've now moved our changes from the Development-Zone to the svn.

You admit a mistake, you offer your apologies (to whom exactly?) and yet you keep making the same mistake all over again by still offering the same faulty software. I don't see how that is funny.
