K hopefully this idea doesnt get turned down as well like the others...lol. It's a good idea in my opinion and helps organization.

It's really cost free..and probably has barely any server load.

Vbulletin has a really nice Installed/tagged prefix feature, lets you tag mods that users post there, for the future in case you wana install it.

Also if you click Installed, you get updates of when the mod is updated.

It's kinda hard to tell when a plugin is updated here on allied modders without actually checking.

But by clicking install, you get automatic updates.
Vbulletin.org has a mod for your version of vbulletin that does exactly this and works just like that one of vbulletin.org.

What you guys think?
Another nice thing would be to show with checkmarks like vbulletin.org....

Mod supported? Check Mod expecting updates? Check

stuff like that, so users know what to expect from the author of the plugin.

I think it would be great if users could watch certain plugins for updates.

Thats what this mod from vbulletin.org is about....

they get notified when plugin is updated if you click mark as installed. It's a big problem I have to have to check for updates all the time.

File a bug https://bugs.alliedmods.net/ (AlliedModders product, IT component)

That reminds me....You might wana check out vbulletin.org's site...they have some nice support systems like bug filing mods that are better than mozilla's bug filing systems. Plus its integrated with vb.

Bug tracking is one thing I'd prefer to do in a dedicated bug tracker. It just seems that using software dedicated to it is going to be better then trying to cram it all into vb.

Since there's already only one set of users, I don't see any benefits of keeping track of bugs in vb.

I filed a bug about adding a bump warning mod so that when users bump an old thread it warns them and the user must then click ok to post but it was never looked at.

Users would likely ignore this anyway.

Why a warning about a bump? When there is a mod on vbulletin.org that merges double posts if they are posted within X amount of days or hours. and it indicates when the latest post was added to the first post.

BAILOPAN I am going to find the mod for you that works just like vbulletin.org's mod system, where you can TAG plugins if you like them but dont have time to install at the moment so for the future you can see which plugins you liked and can install them.

an "Installed" button feature, clicking it will mark you having installed this plugin, and send you updates by email when new version is released.

This mod also has the option to display a donate button along with all the other buttons, to donate to the coder.

And many other features...

Does this sound good?
Im going to find it and PM you.
