I know most people use notepad I think but is there anything better? Such as a program with small syntax highlighting or whatever, just like the small BBCode tags for the forums? I think that would make scripting a whole lot easier. Im reading the small tutorials right now but what would be another good small tutorial? I tryed google but nothing matched my results. What kinds of scripts are a good place to start. I look forward to being an active plugin maker of the future.

Yes yes but what do you choose as syntax highlighting? C\C++? That one seemed to work fine.

EDIT: Made my first script successfully. Only a slay script but a script nonetheless. What is another easily completed script?

Leave the syntax type on plain text or put it on autodetect (it should anyway).

Open Crimson, go to the Menu Bar, and click Document, then look in the menu for Small C (it should be there) and click it.. now your document will be Small C syntax highlighted..

If you don't have Small C in the menu, then click on Customize at the very bottom of the menu, and add Small C.. All you have to do is copy the .spc and .key files to your 'C:\Program Files\Crimson Editor\spec' folder and point to them from the customize dialog-box..

For updated Spec files, EKS has posted a link here

I had already added the regular Small syntax files and had it running. Is there a big difference between Small C and Small? Im getting the other files now though.
