sv_allowdownload will never override cl_allowdownload

sv_allowdownload will tell clients if they are allowed or not to use the sv_downloadurl

if set to yes, then the CS client will check the cl_allowdownload cvar.

If yes, then the HTTP download will begin, if not, it will go to UDP file transfer, regardless of the sv_allowdownload setting.

That is counter intuitive and I doubt that it works that way. If the server says "no you cannot download from me" then that is the final answer.

of course it is, but the talk was to force client to download something if the allowdownload from server is set to 1. If the sv_allowdownload is 1 and cl_allowdownload is 0, then the CS client will go to UDP download.

And vice versa, if server is set to 0, all transfers will be made through UDP.

Maybe I read your post wrong, it was confusing either way.

set sv_allowdownload to 0 and make sure you have all the files necessary on the downloadurl and all the download will go through your URL instead of standard UDP.

Well, if you "understand the bug" and you are able to "fix it" (unlikely) then please share it and prove everyone wrong.
